In this free video tutorial we will show you how to quickly and easily create this blue earth logo that could be used as a business card, company logo, web banner, flyer etc using adobe Photoshop.
Steps to follow:
1. Open the Photoshop and then click on new from file menu, set the size of page to 800 by 400 and click ok.
2. Now fill the background with black using paint bucket tool from tools palette.
3. Create a new layer by clicking on the new layer button on the layers palette.
4. Use custom shape tool and click on the shapes drop down menu then select a globe shape and draw it
.5. Now make selection of the globe using marquee tool.
6. Go to filter menu and select distort then click on spherize, set the value to maximum and click ok.
7. Now right click on shape layer and click on the inner glow.
8. Change the blend mode to screen, choose dark blue color, technique softer, and source edge, choke 15 % and size 13 pixels and contour to cone, range 70% and click ok.
9. Now click on bevel and emboss options.
10. Set the style to inner bevel and technique smooth, depth 210 % and direction up and size 3, soften zero percent, angle of 120oand altitude 30o, highlight mode screen and opacity 100% and shadow mode multiply and opacity 100% and click ok.
11. Now select the satin options and set the following values.
12. Blend mode multiply, color black, angle 19 degree, distance 11% and size 14 pixels, contour Gaussian and make sure invert is checked.
13. Now click on the stroke options and set the size to 3 pixels and click ok.
14. Now create a duplicate of the layer.
15. Now drag the shape right beneath the earth to make reflection and then from edit menu click on free transform.
16. Holding down the ctrl key and shift then drag the corners.17. Now low the opacity to about 14 %.18. Add some text and that’s all.
